Having a wedding planner can make all the difference to your stress level after the engagement. Once you set a date for your wedding it is time to put things into high gear on the planning front. And doing this on your own is not something that many people will recommend. There are so many different aspects to planning a wedding that those with no experience will have no idea where is the best place to start. Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life, and it is certainly the biggest bash you are ever going to throw so you need to get it right. There are no re-dos with your wedding. What about the dress, do you know what to do if it does not fit right? And the bridesmaid dresses? And the wedding budget, do you know the best way to plan it all out? Of course not, because you don’t know how much the services are supposed to cost. A wedding planner knows all of these things and he or she can make the whole process of planning your wedding as easy as pie.

Before you choose a wedding planner for your wedding you need to find out a few things from the potentials. Ask to see the wedding planner’s business license. You do not want to be working with someone who does not have one. The next important thing to ask is how they are going to be paid. There are different ways that a wedding planner can get their take. Some get a percentage of the cost of the entire wedding, other wedding planners charge by hour while others get all of their commission from the service providers that they work with. There is nothing wrong with any of these options you just need to know what to expect. Always ask for references, at least three. You need to be able to talk to some brides that your would be planner has worked with in the past. Ask her what she liked and what she didn’t like about the wedding planner and the services she had provided. One more important question that should be asked is how many other weddings will your wedding planner be planning while working on yours. You need to know that the wedding planner will not be stretched too thin. If you need to talk to him or her you need to know that you will be able to.
