Your Bridal Bouquet

Your bridal bouquet should be a spectacular spray of blooms and surrounding greenery. You may want to choose to have your bridal bouquet made out of fresh flowers or like many you may choose silk flowers. This is a popular and common choice. There are also many different ways to get your bouquet designed. You can do it yourself, you can let your wedding planner do it or you can work with a floral designer. Your best option is to work with a talented designer. This way you will be able to get your two cents in and still have the bridal bouquet designed by a professional. This is the perfect way to combine your dreams with practical quality.

If you choose silk flowers you will not have to worry about how they will hold up throughout the day or evening. This is a serious concern no matter what time of year it is but especially during the hot summer months. There are many beautiful flowers that will not do well out of water for any amount of time. These flowers may wilt and change color and this is not the kind of thing you want to see in your bridal bouquet. With silk flowers all of these concerns are eliminated. These wonderful flowers will always look good and they will last forever if you decide you wan to keep your bouquet as a keepsake. Choosing the appropriate colors for your bridal bouquet is another important consideration. You want your bouquet to match your dress but you still want there to be some contrast. Real flowers offer their own charm to your wedding outfit. They are gorgeous and as long as you talk to a professional florist you should not have much of a problem finding flowers that will hold up well throughout the day. But if you are planning to do your bridal bouquet all on your own you may want to stick with silk flowers.

On your special day you will need to know how to carry your bridal bouquet appropriately. Many bouquets are held in front of the gown, this is what most of us are used to seeing in photos and on television. But they must be held at the proper level. Your arms should be resting on your hips. This will keep the bridal bouquet low enough to reveal the detail on the bodice and neckline of your gown. Remember the bridal bouquet should add not take away from the effect of your dress. It may be hard to keep your arms low as it is only natural when nervous to lift them but you will need to stay focused while walking down the aisle. Not only do you want to make your gown seen you also want appear relaxed and at ease. If you are carrying a nosegay or another small bouquet you will be able to carry it in one hand. You will still want to keep it at about the same level with the flowers facing up.

Bridal Bouquet

The bridal bouquet serves two main functions. As an elegant accessory to the bride as she walks down the isle, and as an auspicious talisman to the lucky bride to be who catches the flying bridal bouquet. Be sure is both beautiful and durable so it makes it through to the end of the flight!
